Exclamation Can anyone help me and maybe some others who are still looking for a job for this fall?

Idea Please post any jobs that you hear about at your schools if you already have a job or if you don't have a job post any positions you may not be qualified for at district where you have been searching.

Arrow I have taken and passed my Generalist 4th -8th grade content test and need a job so I can get my internship finished. I've had some experience in my work history working with behavioral issues so I'm planning on taking the Special Education content test soon.

PLEASE can anyone HELP me and maybe others too?????????? Question Question Question

Thank you!!!! Exclamation Exclamation

Good luck with that. I have passed the Gen 4-8 and Science 4-8 and haven't had so much as a nibble in responses. I live in Dallas and have hit (online apps) almost every ISD from Ellis, kaufman, Hunt and Denton Counties to the other side of Ft. Worth (Tarrant County). Not only called, but faxed and visited in person (only to find out that they "just hadn't updated their website").

I am so disheartened right now, I have actually started hitting the online job sites to find something else.

Don't give up. Sign up for a sub at the districts and give the campus secretary your business card (make it on computer or go to office store) and tell her you can work any day and everyday and last minute is no problem. I work at title 1 school in Grand Prairie and there were days when we needed 17 subs at the last minute. We ended up hiring 8 of them last year. Get foot in the door and always be an asset and they will remember. Good luck. We have too many kids this year and they might need to hire more teacher. Send a resume to the principals not to the district site. you can go on each school and find their name and email.

We are currently in need of a Pre-K Paraprofessional. You would act as the aide under the direction of a certified teacher. The teacher is retiring @ the end of the school year so there may be an opportunity for you to become the teacher of record for 2010 - 2011. Please email me @ ashleystokes@lancasterisd.org if you are interested w/ contact info. and resume and I will print and hand directly to the principal.

I'm not sure when the 10 day period is up but I would really like to know because I passed the Special Ed, EC-4 and ESL and I have not heard anything. I emailed the principles and drove all over the metroplex and nothing. I don't know what to do, If anyone knows of anything please respond.

I'm going to tell you what I've done! I was like you and then I use the following idea. It work's, Im a teacher full time in an elementary school in dallas isd and never before being a teacher, so if I can , you too! Follow the following link,https://www.teacherjobnet.org/Jobs/Jobpost.exe (copy and paste) Then you are going to see that they are just post a lot of positions recently. Look for the school that is looking for the position and then , go to that ISD and find the web site of that school and find the principal , assistant principal and the fax number. Then send your resume via fax directly to the school principal, forget about the isd protocol, if the principal still need the teacher, believe me, he's going to call you. Don't give up, just keep your hope, pray and last thing, don't expect that somebody is going to call you if you don't send your resume directly to the principal! Advice, after sending the resume, call the clerk of that school to verify if they receive it. Good luck, let me know if I can help, mhvn188@hotmail.com Wink

Somewhere in one of these posts someone said they went to the TEA website and pulled the list of principals (for the whole state) and sent emails that way. One at a time takes forever. I did this too and I got way more phone calls than the online app's ever brought. AND I GOT A JOB...

The list will be in excel so you can sort it and take out areas you don't want. And yes there will be some position is filled or undeliverable messages...Just wait. Your phone will ring...
